Beau's 53 yard Catch / Run the Only Score in Tough Fought 6-0 Win Against Greeley West

Beau's first touchdown reception since the second round of the playoffs last year was a big one as the Lightning beat Greeley West 6-0 Friday night at District stadium in Greeley.

Running a slant with 4:00 left in the half of a 0-0 game, Beau caught the ball off his sholder pad and helmet... turned right toward the sidelines...

And sprinted 53 yards for the only score of the night...

Beau Averages 41 yds on 2 Kickoff Returns against Ft. Collins

Beau returns a crucial Kickoff for 45 yards Friday Night

Ft. Collins would not go away Friday night at North stadium, but each time the Lambkins scored the Lightning responded with big special teams plays. Both times Ft. Collins scored TD's (in the 1st Qtr to take a 6-0 lead and with 5:00 left in the game to tie the score at 13) Beau took the ensuing Kickoffs to the 50 yard line resulting in touchdown drives.

The Lightning special teams have been solid in both of the Lightning wins.

No Touches For Trigsted in Lightning opener

Sometimes your job doesn't include the big play, but lots of little ones That was the case for Beau in Legacy's opening win at Mountan Range. No catches, no returns, and lots of blocks in the Lightning 31-7 win.

Up only 10-7 and committing 10 penalties for 85yds at half time the Lightning only threw the ball 11 times on Friday. Beaus only highlight was a nice pancake hit that sprung Travis Sears on a long gainer in the second half.

The (1-0) Lightning play Ft. Collins at home next Friday at Noth Stadium at 7:00 PM

Beau & Broncos HS 7 on 7 team play in front of 70,000 fans at Invesco Field

The Denver Broncos HS 7 on 7 team played an exhibition last Friday at halftime of the Brocos/Packers game. WHAT A THRILL for the boys as they were all indivdually introduced and shown on the big screen as they ran onto the field.

The team made up of Legacy and Bear Creek players placed third in the NFL sponsored 16 team national tournament in New Orleans, LA this summer.

Beau (next to Legacy WR Travis Sears in sling) enjoyed meeting and playing with his Bear Creek teamates. Bear Creek (Lakewood, CO) is currently ranked #1 in every poll in Colorado and #68 in the country in the Rivals.com/ESPN top 100. QB Zach Thennel threw for 3,168 yards and 33 TD's in 2007. Zach (with the ball) and RB Tommy Flannigan (FR right of Zach) are both pre-season Colorado all-state selections.

Bronco fans may recognize all-time great Billy Thomson (left). Billy travelled with the team and helped coach and became friends and a real inspiration to the team.

These boys could meet again at Invesco on November 29th as both Legacy and Bear Creek were recently named by Scout.com as one of Colorado's "5A Top 10" as favorites to contend for the 5A state title.
Beaus Mom Lisa (Current Lightning Football Booster President) was on hand to document everything with pictures and video. A great night for all.

Luke is healthy...

Our QB Luke Bublitz (1,441 yds, 15 TDs in 2007) is ready to roll. A shoulder injury kept Luke out of summer workouts and there were rumors swirling that he might be out for the year... Beau (picture left), Travis Sears, Bryson Romero, Ryan Coupans, and the rest of the recievers can not be happier.
